Erik Warolin
Erik Warolin is a Stockholm based director working across commercials and fiction, balancing crafted visuals with human imperfection. He began his career as a creative at an ad agency, before switching lanes and finding his film school in the drama department at SVT, Sweden’s national broadcaster (think BBC but colder). Immersed in the world of scripted storytelling, he developed a directing style built on strong narratives, visual clarity and character driven situational humor.
Erik’s award winning short films have screened at festivals worldwide, including Clermont-Ferrand and as the opening film at AISFF in Korea. He continues to develop fiction alongside his commercial work. Whether he is directing comedy or more emotional material, his focus remains the same: crafting scenes that feel honest, surprising and visually precise.
Recent work includes campaigns for ICA, Systembolaget, Unionen and LIDL, where his eye for detail and ability to bring out real performances, whether from actors or real people, have earned him recognition both on set and on screen.
Born in 1987, Erik started making films before he had facial hair. He has not really stopped since.
He is driven by a desire to create moments that feel genuinely real.
