D.A.R.Y.L. is the creative moniker of directors Edward Lovelace and James Hall.
Their critically acclaimed, award-winning third feature film "The Possibilities Are Endless" (SXSW, London Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival) traced the hearts and mind journey of singer/songwriter Edwyn Collins following a life-changing stroke. The film was awarded 5 stars by the Guardian, won Best Film at Solo Positivo Film Festival and was named Film of the Year 2014 by indie bible MOJO.
Their debut feature "Werewolves Across America" (CPH:DOX, Raindance) explored life on the fringes of society in modern and was followed up in 2012 with "Part of Me", a historic and intimate look into the life of global pop star Katy Perry.
Outside of feature films D.A.R.Y.L. are leading directors in the world of music videos, advertising and commercials. Their work has included international campaigns for brands and artists that include: a scripted documentary web series for DS (“The Writer”), AUDI (“RS3 Ice Hockey”, “RS3 Speed Boat”, “RS3 Rally”), Diet Coke, Bose (“Scene Unseen” series), Florence and the Machine, Selena Gomez, 50 Cent and Alicia Keys. Their work has been awarded top industry accolades including D&AD’s and DADI Awards.
